Predrag Cvetičanin is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš, where he lectures in Sociology of Culture and Arts. He is also the director of the independent research institute Centre for Empirical Studies of Southeast Europe. After graduating in Sociology from the Faculty of Philosophy, Nis, he went on to receive MA degrees from the Department of History and Philosophy of Art, Central European University (CEU), Prague; Department of Sociology, Faculty of Philosophy, Belgrade; and Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method of the London School of Economics (LSE), University of London. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade.
He has coordinated a large number of national and international research projects and wrote and edited thirteen books dealing with the class structure of South-East European societies, with the relationship between social and cultural stratification, a field of cultural production, and cultural participation in South-East Europe.
