Suzana Ignjatović is a Principal Research Fellow at the Institute of Social Sciences (Center for Sociological and Anthropological Research). She holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Belgrade (Faculty of Philosophy). Her main research interests are sociological and anthropological theory, gender, family life, life course, and bioethics. In her empirical research studies, she explored early parenthood experience, family transitions over the life course, gender equality policies, and values and ethics of education. Her international track record includes two EU Horizon projects on gender and public policy and extensive experience in applied research as an expert for UN agencies. Suzana has been on the Editorial Board of Sociological Research Online (BSA, SAGE) since 2020. She is serving as the editor of Sociologija for the 2026-2028 term. Her editorial experience involves also serving as a guest editor of Stanovnistvo. Suzana has published in high-ranked international journals, regional, and national journals. She co-edited a volume with A. Boskovic Individualizam (Individualism), published by the Institute of Social Sciences (2017), and co-authored a chapter in the edited volume Gender Equality in a Global Perspective (Routledge, 2017). She authored the book Socijalni kapital (Social Capital).
